Project Overview
2High Festival Is Australia’S One-Of-A-Kind Multi-Arts Festival dedicated to showcasing the next wave of arts experiences and arts practitioners. Now in its momentous 16th year, ZERO HOUR was invited to partner by Backbone Youth Arts to develop & workshop the visioning process with this year’s coordinators. Out of this vision we were to guide the design brief & create an end-to-end campaign, including this year’s visual identity & website. We surfaced from the visioning process with the tagline ‘Unleash the Beast!’
Our objective was to deliver a campaign that matched the ambition of the coordinators and Backbone’s vision — to capture the imagination of young people as they engage with and create the world around them and consequently the world of the future. We strived to set a new benchmark to communicate the significance of this project and its existence.

Below: Our interpretation of ‘the beast’ was infinite. This informed our approach to the showcase website drawing upon nostalgia, phobias, myth, weird science, and absurd facts for inspiration. We invited others to reference their own ‘beasts’ and to submit them for addition to the image library.
